Cross Country race Lux Park

1st March 2019
The fifth and final cross-country league race took place on Friday 1st March at Liskeard. After what had been a glorious, sunny day, the horn sounded for the start of the first race and of course the heavens opened! Team Pensilva entered 13 runners for the race. Representing the year 3/4 girls was Bethany Swinburne who finished in 77th place.

Once again, a full line up of year 3/4 boys took part, with Dylan Hollyman finishing in 6th place, Finley Wilkinson in 27th place, William Hicks 79th, Oliver Evans 90th, Daniel Rushton in 91st, Evan Oxenham in 102nd and Luka Wyatt 126th.


Pulling out all the stops once again was the year 5/6 girls, with Macy Wilson finishing in 9th place, Bryony Page in 57th place, Kylie Rushton 80th and Polly Gilbert in 84th.


By the start of the year 5/6 boys’ race, it really was pouring down. Representing Pensilva was Duncan Dyas who finished in 87th place.


Well done to all our fantastic runners who once again showed great team spirit.


Good luck to Macy Wilson in year 6 who will be representing us in the Cornwall Cross Country Championships in Newquay on the 28th March – Go Macy!
