Mrs Palfrey's Football Team!

An Amazing Win!

Pensilva football team travelled away for our next league match. I am always proud of our team but this game was sensational. I was able to enjoy the quality of football, the desire to succeed, the togetherness as a team and the positive attitude displayed by all the players. Excellent goals scored by Leo 1, Noah 1 and Cody 2.

Harry our goalkeeper, Thomas, Bradley and Layla were brilliant in defence and enabled us to keep a clean sheet. Noah, Trinity, Leo and Cody worked tirelessly in midfield and moved the ball with great accuracy. The whole team demonstrated a great energy and tempo.

We won 4-0!

I would also like to thank the parents for their continued support, it really is appreciated.

Pensilva Football Team

On Tuesday 21st March, our Pensilva football team played on a very muddy and boggy pitch. The whole team were fantastic and it was an extremely exciting and amazing game to watch. We lost 3-2 after the other team scored in the final minute of the game. But it was certainly end to end excitement!

A parent standing behind me even remarked, “This is better than watching Match of the Day!”

The children were very muddy after the match, but they all should feel exceptionally proud of themselves. Well done team and thank you to all the grown ups who took their children to the match and hopefully your cars weren’t too muddy!

Pensilva Football Team!

Our year 5/6 football team really did have to work as a team on Tuesday 14th March. Due to illness, we could only field a bare 7 and that’s with one child just returning after an injury and children having to play out of position. The team went 3–0 down in the first half, but the whole team showed great determination and resilience and had a brilliant come back by scoring 3 goals at the start of the second half. Unfortunately, we lost 5-3, but what a team effort. I am so proud of our football team. Thank you to all who came to watch and show their support. Our next match is on Tuesday 21st March at St Germans.

What a week of football!

Another great performance on Tuesday 28th February against a tough opposition. We were very unlucky and lost the match, luck wasn’t on our side and we just couldn’t get a goal. The score line certainly didn’t reflect our performance and with us having most of the possession. But our team maintained their determination and we battled to the end! Amazing team effort once again.

On Wednesday 1st March, we travelled to St Neot for a football tournament. I am so proud of our team. We won 2-1 in the first match, but lost 1-0 in the second match from a free kick! We played two games back to back which really showed what an amazing team we were because every player on that pitch did not stop running, tackling, shooting at goal for the whole time they were on the pitch, they all looked exhausted and gave it their all. At the end of the tournament, each school voted for another school’s star player and I’m pleased to say Noah was chosen from our team. Well done, Noah. I’m proud to say the overall player of the tournament went To Trinity! Absolutely amazing and well-deserved Trinity!

What an amazing Pensilva football team we have! On Thursday 23rd February, we played our first South East Cornwall Primary Schools League match and won 3-1. It was an amazing team effort, great defending from Thomas, Bradley and Layla, fantastic ball control and passing by the midfield and forwards Leo and Noah which enabled Trinity to score a superb goal from a corner and Cody scoring 2 spectacular goals! Harry then went on to pull out a phenomenal save! It was a really tough match and I am so proud of how the team worked together and never gave up. We have another league match on Tuesday 28th February at Pensilva. It would be great if you could come and support your team.

On Tuesday 1st November we visited Callington Community College to take part in Arena Primary Schools Football League Mixed Year 5/6 competition. It was a wet, windy and cold evening, but our team embraced the challenge! I was so impressed by their team spirit, resilience and positive attitude. It was the first of many matches and I am looking forward to seeing this team progress. Well done Pensilva Football Team, I am proud of you all.

Brilliant Result for Our Football Team!

On Tuesday 15th November, we travelled once again to Callington Community College. It was great to see amazing positioning on the pitch, accurate passing, determined defending and goals being scored! Each team member was supporting one another and vocally we demonstrated how to take control of a game. An overall excellent result earned through pure effort and determination. So proud of you all!

Pensilva Football Team

So proud of our team again! We played in extremely cold and wet conditions. We lost the first match, but showed great determination and comfortably won our second match. I would like to say a big thank you to all the parents and grandparents who have come to support the team over the past few weeks. We play again at Callington Community College on Tuesday 29th November, and we have our first South East Cornwall Primary Schools league match at Pelynt Primary Academy on Thursday 1st December. Come on team, we can do this!
