CALLINGTON HONEY FAIR ART COMPETITION 2022...
PENSILVA PRIMARY SCHOOL HAS AGAIN TAKEN PART IN THE CALLINGTON HONEY FAIR ART COMPETITION
The Honey Fair in Callington set the following categories/themes for their 2022 art competition:
· Reception .........……..Flowers in the garden
· Years 1/2................... Scarecrows
· Years 3/4 ..............In the jungle
· Years 5/6.................Making music
Puffins explored the work of Henri Rousseau to create their jungle themed pictures using felt-tip pens and colour pencils.
Buzzards learnt all about Cubism. They learnt that:
- Cubism is a style of art that was invented in 1907.
- It was a very different way of painting to anything that had happened before.
- In cubism, the artist tried to show different views of the same object or person all together in one painting. When you look at a cubist painting, you might see the front, side and back of the same object.
- Cubist artists tried to break an object or person up into different parts. This often made the painting look like it was made up of geometric shapes like cubes.
