Cornwall Schools Olympic Flame

Pensilva School hosted the Cornwall Schools Olympic Flame on 7th November 2011. The symbol is visiting all the primary schools in Cornwall before the start of the Olympic Games in the summer of 2012. We were delighted to be part of this project and we held an afternoon of Olympic activities for all the children to try. Sport and the health of our children is always important to us but it is especially at the forefront of our minds in this Olympic year. Our netball team have done well recently and we have been working with Plymouth Raiders on basketball skills. A team of staff, pupils, parents and friends completed a sponsored swim for the British Heart Foundation and we're running Bikeability sessions. We have also run successful tag rugby, cross country and football clubs this term. Well done to everyone involved and thanks to everyone who has helped.
